George Clooney helped design ring

George Clooney helped design his fiancee's ring

George Clooney helped design his fiancee's engagement ring.

People magazine has obtained a photo of the sparkler the Hollywood star gave to London lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

And it said that George helped design the ring, which features an ethically mined emerald-cut diamond and two tapered baguettes set in platinum.

George apparently opted for tradition when he proposed on April 22 - going down on bended knee.

The actor had visited Dubai in March to meet his wife-to-be's family, spending time on a yacht excursion with her siblings, People said.

"They found George very easy to get along with, cool," a relative of Amal's was quoted as saying. "They felt at ease with him immediately."

George's dad Nick has said he is "thrilled" that his son is marrying Amal.

"We have had an opportunity to interact with this wonderful young woman and these are two great people," he told Us Weekly.

Sometimes this sensitivity can inhibit you from doing what you really want. You're afraid of offending people with your bold ideas. Instead of repressing your instincts, obey them. If you've developed a romantic interest in someone special, make your move. Playing the aggressor will boost your confidence. Keep your conversations light and playful.More
