Gerard Depardieu: I'm an elephant
Gerard Depardieu has laughed off an incident which saw him get kicked off a plane when he urinated into an empty bottle.
The French star, 62, said he was sober when he caused a mess on the floor last month after relieving himself in a bottle which was "too small".
The Cyrano de Bergerac star told CNN that his friend gave him a bottle to use after the stewardess repeatedly blocked the toilet door "with her foot" and ordered him to go back to his seat as he waited for take-off from Paris for Dublin.
He explained: "The bottle was too small. I am an elephant."
The Oscar-nominated star said: "I'm not a monster, I'm just a man who wants to p**."
Gerard told CNN host Anderson Cooper that he offered to clean up the mess.
"I said 'don't worry I will clean it after. It's nothing, just a p**.' She (the stewardess) yelled.
"There was a lot," he added.
Police were called and Gerard, who had been due to fly to Ireland to film Asterix And Obelix: God Save Britannia, was ordered off the plane.
