Geri Halliwell reportedly believes she has a "spiritual connection" with Russell Brand.
The pair struck up a romantic relationship after performing at the London Olympics closing ceremony earlier this month.
According to sources, the new couple have bonded over yoga and meditation.
"Geri has said they have a spiritual connection through yoga and they practise asana together," an insider told British newspaper The Sun.
"Russell is known for action between the sheets but he is actually very good at just sitting still in silence. It is something that has acted as a bond for him and Geri as their relationship blossoms."
Russell is said to be delighted to be dating the former Spice Girl. The British comedian - whose divorce from Katy Perry was finalised last month - is reportedly head over heels in lust with the petite singer.
Russell has dated a string of women since his break-up last year, including actress Isabella Brewster.
Geri split from millionaire property developer's son Henry Beckwith last year.
