Giuliana Rancic was the recipient of a surprise baby party at her E! News offices Thursday.
The Hollywood presenter and her husband Bill Rancic were forced to put their family plans on hold when Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011.
The couple announced earlier this week that they will become parents via a gestational surrogate, and Giuliana's work colleagues wanted to celebrate the news in style.
"We waited for a good 10-15 minutes for G to come into the conference room [at our Los Angeles offices] where everything was set up," a partygoer told People magazine. "In true G fashion, she was on the phone until the very last minute we all yelled, 'Surprise!' "
Delicious snacks including chocolate cupcakes, cakepops and red velvet cake were distributed to guests.
"There were baggies to put mini-chick candies in to take home, and lemonade in jars with striped green straws in them," the source detailed.
Giuliana was so happy that her assistant and E! news coworkers put so much effort into the event.
"Luv u girl & my amazing @ENews family :)). I was shocked!" she re-tweeted on Twitter.
Giuliana will host a formal baby shower later on in the year.
