Selena Gomez won't be spending Ashley Benson's birthday with her.

The two actresses starred alongside each other in Spring Breakers, which also featured Vanessa Hudgens.

While on set they struck up a close friendship, but sadly Selena won't be partying with Ashley, who turned 24 today.

"Happy birthday benzo, you celebrated my entire birthday week with me. I miss you and wish I was with you to do the same :( love youuuu (sic)," Selena posted to her pal on Twitter.

The 21-year-old attached a picture of the pair hanging out together, with both of them pouting at the camera.

It seems as though Ashley doesn't have much time to celebrate either, as she's currently working on TV movie A Visit from the Goon Squad as well as popular show Pretty Little Liars.

Luckily the birthday love from her fans on Twitter is keeping the star's spirits up.

"Just finished a long day of filming and saw all of your tweets. Thanks so much ;) made a great start to my birthday love you guys so much! (sic)," she posted.

Ashley stars in Pretty Little Liars alongside Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Troian Bellisario.

The second half of the fourth season will air in January and the show is getting fans hyped up by releasing teasers and a poster.

Ashley recently hit out at the most recent advertisement for the series, claiming the cast looks airbrushed.

"Saw this floating around....hope it's not the poster. Our faces in this were from 4 years ago.....and we all look ridiculous. Way too much photo shop. We all have flaws. No one looks like this. It's not attractive (sic)," she complained in a caption to accompany the picture on Instagram.
