Selena Gomez is rumoured to be taking part in a "bedroom intimacy" style photoshoot for Flaunt magazine.

The 21-year-old star is said to be planning to show off her raunchy side in a 15-page spread for an upcoming issue of Flaunt magazine. Snapped by British photographer and former actress Amanda de Cadenet, Selena is thought to give a glimpse into her soul in a series of different photos for the project.

"The theme is identity," an insider told New York Post. "It explores Selena's growing strength as a woman pulled in countless directions."

The set for the venture is a "defunct LA warehouse". The source also gave a clue about what to expect from the feature and revealed how keen Selena is to show a different side to herself.

"[There will be] bedroom intimacy and continual confrontations with herself," they added. "Selena's been looking to push her fashion appeal, and her limits."

Selena stars in upcoming action film Getaway, in which she plays ambiguous character The Kid.

The brunette beauty enjoyed embodying such an "edgy" alter ego and learning about cars for the role.

"The Kid is spunky and edgy and really cool. I get her angst and why she's that way... with her dad and the frustration of her wanting to be on her own," she told Flicks and Bits. "She knows a lot about cars and technology, which I know nothing about [laughs], so that was interesting for me and a big challenge to familiarise myself with."
