Gomez ‘turns to Swift for support’

Selena Gomez has reportedly been leaning on friend Taylor Swift as she attempts to get over her ex Justin Bieber.

The pair ended their on-off relationship in October after an allegedly stormy few weeks. But Selena is said to be finding it harder than ever to get over her former beau, especially as Christmas is fast approaching.

“Selena’s definitely at a crossroad – she’s not sure what to do,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “It’s the holiday season which makes her miss Justin even more.

“There is part of her that’s still holding on to a drop of hope that Justin will reach out to her before the end of the year and make a grand gesture to win her back.”

Justin has been hitting social networks recently, posting pictures with his female friends including Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin.

And Selena is apparently having to lean on the support of her close friend Taylor Swift in an attempt to resist the lure of her ex.

“Taylor had been reassuring Selena that she did the right thing by playing hard to get with Justin,” the source added. “She told Selena to stay away from Justin’s Twitter and Instagram accounts, to stay positive and to stay busy.”

Justin sparked rumours he and Hailey, the niece of actor Alec Baldwin, are more than just friends with a series of flirty snaps on Instagram this week.

However, the singer was quick to insist the relationship is platonic, adding he is “super single”.

Uploading a photo of he and Hailey sitting in a car together and smiling, Justin used the caption to make his point clear.

“People are crazy. I'm super single and this is my good friend u would know otherwise (sic),” he wrote.
