Gosling and Mendes ‘planning to wed’

Eva Mendes, Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are rumoured to be planning to tie the knot later this year.

The two stars have been dating for well over a year, after meeting on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines. Although they have made reference to each other in public they largely prefer to keep their romance out of the limelight, which will remain the case when they tie the knot.

"They're planning on tying the knot later this year - it will be a very private ceremony," an insider told Heat magazine.

No further details about the nuptials are known at the moment.

Ryan showed his strength of feeling for Eva during a recent outing, when he became incensed when a photographer referred to Eva as 'baby'. He apparently fumed when he heard the man call out the nickname, but things were eventually smoothed over when Eva realised she knew the gent.

The couple are yet to confirm they are engaged but Eva, 39, is rumoured to be ready to have children with her 32-year-old beau.

"Eva has started to think seriously about kids with Ryan. She loves his family and gets along really well with his mum Donna - she even went with Ryan to Donna's college graduation last year," an insider recently said. "She and Eva are in touch all the time, and Donna is just as eager to see her son settle down.

"Ryan has completely changed Eva's outlook on life. She really wants to settle down and start a family."
