Gosling talks sex symbol status

Ryan Gosling doesn't see himself as a sex symbol

Ryan Gosling has admitted he's "uncomfortable" with his pin-up status.

The Gangster Squad star, who is dating actress Eva Mendes, revealed he struggles to see himself as a sex symbol, reported The Metro.

"I'm as uncomfortable with it as I am talking about it," said the 32-year-old.

He continued: "I know from just being a guy and looking at a billboard and you're like, 'That guy's not a sex symbol. They're trying to sell that on us? No way! That's never gonna stick.' And then suddenly he's like a huge deal and you can't believe it. I used to hate on those guys and now I am one."

In 2011 there was an internet campaign to help Ryan be named the Sexiest Man Alive in People magazine's annual poll, but he was pipped by Hangover star Bradley Cooper.

And it seems the Drive star doesn't think he should have clinched the sexiest title anyway.

"You show me someone who really thinks that and I'll show you a liar," he said.

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
