Gough dismisses Amy Childs story

Darren Gough has dismissed reports that he left his family home over his friendship with Amy Childs.

The former England cricketer, 43, and the ex Towie star, 23, both appeared together on Channel 4 show The Jump and were eliminated in the early rounds.

The Sun reported that Darren has moved out of his family home and that he and Amy flirted while filming the TV winter sports show.

But approached by the newspaper, Darren replied: "Brilliant that, mate. Nothing to do with it whatsoever. You've got the story totally wrong."

A spokeswoman for Amy said that the pair have never been in a relationship.

"Amy and Darren met while filming for The Jump, they became good friends during filming and remain so, they have never been involved in a relationship," she said.

The Sun quoted a friend of Amy's as saying: "They were flirting and would hug on nights out (while filming The Jump).

"But she thinks it's unfair that she's being blamed for any issues in Darren's relationship."

Darren, now a radio pundit, divorced Anna, 45, in 2002 after eight years of marriage but the pair got back together in 2009.
