Kelsey Grammer's representatives discount photographic evidence that his newborn baby rode around without a car seat.
The 57-year-old actor and his 31-year-old wife Kayte Walsh were pictured driving off in a chauffeured SUV with their daughter Faith at LAX airport this week.
Unfortunately their baby wasn't in a car seat at the time, and the couple went on their way with Faith cradled in Kayte's arms in the front passenger seat.
Kelsey's reps tell TMZ that the baby was strapped into a car seat later on in the journey, claiming that the parents put Faith in a safety apparatus before they left the airport.
California state law requires that all babies be secured in car seats whilst driving in a vehicle.
The new parents came under fire last month after a photo of Faith sleeping in her carrier during Hugh Hefner's Playboy mansion Halloween bash circulated over the internet.
Kelsey later claimed they brought the child because they could not find a babysitter and Kayte was breastfeeding.
Kelsey wed Kayte Walsh, a British flight attendant, in February 2011. The marriage came just weeks after his divorce was finalised from wife of 13 years, Camille Donatacci.
