Grimshaw: I 're-evaluated' my life

Nick Grimshaw has said he re-evaluated his own lifestyle after his friend Peaches Geldof died.

The Radio 1 breakfast DJ said that the tragedy, in April, made him "stop and think".

And although he is still partying, because "it's my job", the 29-year-old said that he's healthier now .

Nick told Times 2: "It has made me re-evaluate my life and what I am doing with it. It makes me stop and think.

"I have had a healthier lifestyle for quite a while now. I eat better food and drink less and I am trying to be fitter and part of that is because I have to get up very early and I need to function."

The DJ, whose friends include Kate Moss and Harry Styles, said that he wouldn't stop partying.

"I'm on air for hours every morning - I have to have something to talk about, that's why I go out. I can't just go on about the colour of my socks or whatever. It's my job to go to parties," he said.

He added: "I hate being photographed. I really do. It's not my fault I know all these people - if you spend an hour interviewing someone on the radio then you get to know them and they become your friend."

He said: "I work very hard. I go out and do things people want to do and then I talk about it. I am honest. I'm just me."
