Gwen Stefani says everything about her is a misconception.
The singer feels like she is detached from reality. Gwen thinks no one knows the real her and the only solid certainty in her life is those she surrounds herself with.
"I feel like none of its real. Even the good stuff. It's impossible for anyone to really know me," she told British Elle magazine. "My life, the reality of my life, is just the people that are really in it."
The No Doubt lead singer shot to fame in 1992 with the release of the band's debut album. Gwen has since gone on to have much success both in No Doubt and as a solo artist. The star says the only time she understands her success is when she is performing for her fans.
"The only time it ever feels real - and it's like a glorious version of it - is when I'm on stage," Gwen continued. "That's when you actually see the people. The people who bought the records and gave me this life."
