Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed how she embraced the chance to do some high-octane stunts in her return to the Iron Man franchise.

The stunning actress, 40, reprises her role as Pepper Potts in the third instalment of the comic book series and this time she gets a chance to step inside Tony Stark's Iron Man suit.

Speaking on the red carpet at the movie's Los Angeles premiere, Gwyneth said: "I loved it, I had never done that kind of thing before and it was so exhilarating and so novel. I loved hanging upside down and flipping in the air and wearing the suit was great."

The Oscar winner has appeared in all the movies in the franchise and said the gang have so much fun when they are reunited.

"We really are having a good time, it's really fun to get to work with friends and the script was really good so it was wonderful."

Gwyneth was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle and Rebecca Hall.

The blonde star has just been named the World's Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine and the actress, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, said she was stunned by announcement.

"I was very surprised when I first heard the news, I honestly thought that my publicist had sent an email to the wrong client but he said it was really true. I'm very honoured and it's very sweet."

Gwyneth and Chris have two children, Apple, eight, and Moses, six, and the Se7en actress said there is only one super power she would choose if she could.

"I would clone myself so I could be here and putt my kids to bed at the same time."
