Gwyneth: Men must be honest
Gwyneth Paltrow would find it hard if a partner hid something from her.
The 42-year-old 'consciously uncoupled' from her husband of ten years, Chris Martin, last March. She has since been open about the split and was rumoured to have briefly romanced Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk following the announcement.
Speaking about traits she'd consider a deal breaker in a potential beau, Gwyneth insisted there's little which puts her off - as long as her potential partner is upfront from the start.
"I'm extremely open minded, so if there was authenticity and honesty at the beginning I would be OK - like, if he said, 'This is part of who I am,'" she explained to US OK! magazine. "It would be hard to be one of those wives who in 20 years finds out something had been going on behind her back for her whole life."
There was no bitterness between Gwyneth and Chris amid their break-up and there are even reports the former couple - who have kids Apple and Moses together - are hoping to reconcile their marriage.
The actress continued to touch upon the prospect of cheating in a relationship. While she doesn't support it, she thinks the severity of being unfaithful depends on the people.
"I think that if you are committed to someone and in a relationship that is important to you, you surmount different things. Different couples take on different challenges. I'd like to think that I would be forgiven," she mused.
Gwyneth has recently been open about her past relationships and gave fans an insight into her high-profile love life during a chat on Howard Stern's radio show.
From 1994 to 1997 she dated Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt and the pair were even engaged at one point. Looking back she confessed she "definitely fell in love with him", but she was too young and didn't know what she was doing at the time.
