Gwyneth Paltrow ‘ready for action’

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow feels “more energetic” than ever before at the age of 40.

The Iron Man 3 actress expressed that she is feeling incredibly active in her forties.

About seven months ago, around the time of her September 27 40th birthday, Gwen told E! News she was “getting old” for action movies.

Now that Iron Man 3 is due to hit theatres next weekend, Gwyneth has considerably changed her tune on the matter.

"Ever since I've turned 40 [in September], I feel younger than ever and more energetic," she gushed to the outlet. "I'm ready. I'm ready for action now."

Gwyneth shares eight-year-old daughter Apple and seven-year-old son Moses with Coldplay star Chris Martin.

Numerous celebrity couples have garnered headlines for renewing their vows.

Apparently that act is not something Gwyneth has considered, but she is open to it.

"People do that a lot now, don't they?" she mused. "Nobody in my family has ever done that. You never know."

Gwyneth and Chris married in December 2003.

The actress recalled recently how speculation she was romancing the Coldplay frontman was rife before they had even met in 2002. When Chris made a joke about his love life on stage, the rumours increased – but in the end it brought them together.

“It’s funny because people had started writing that we were going out and we had never even met. And then he was in Los Angeles doing a concert and an actress that he had a crush on was supposed to come to the concert. When she didn’t show up, he was so annoyed that he said, ‘Oh, this is for my girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow,’” she laughed to British newspaper The Sun. “Then people were saying, ‘What’s going on?’ I was like, ‘I’ve never met this guy, I’ve no idea!’

“And because of that, because people were writing about it, we ended up meeting at a concert and there you go. So, thank you!”
