Gwyneth Paltrow: 'Yes, I have sex!'
Gwyneth Paltrow is always left "f**king exhausted" because she puts so much into everything she does.
Gwyneth Paltrow considers it incredibly important that she remains proud of her sexuality.
The 43-year-old actress split from husband Chris Martin in 2014 and has been dating Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk since August last year (15). In a new interview, mother-of-two Gwyneth insisted she considers sex an important aspect of her life, and thinks it's something that should be prioritised by more businesswomen.
"We have this idea that you can't be a mother and a businesswoman and like to have sex!" she told SELF magazine. "How is an intelligent woman a sexual being? It's really hard to integrate those things. Like, 'Gwyneth has sex? Really?' It doesn't seem to go together. But I think it's important, as mothers and as women contributing to society in whatever way we each are, that our true sexuality doesn't get lost or put aside."
As well as a successful acting career, which has recently seen her star as Pepper Potts in the Iron Man movies, Gwyneth is the founder and chief creative officer of lifestyle publication Goop. Managing the different aspects of her life can be tough, especially as she's such a perfectionist when it comes to her weekly newsletter.
"I have yet to meet someone who isn't burdened with hyper-responsibility," she said. "Everyone is suffering from this sense of 'I have to do it all and I have to do it perfectly.' It's all my friends, all my colleagues: We try to do everything to such a high standard. And I'm like, 'Where did we get this from? Because I'm f**king exhausted!' "
That said, Gwyneth isn't one to delegate. Instead she works hard to ensure the newsletter is the best it can be in every way.
"I'm responsible for every photo, every piece of content, all the product that we're making. I do all the creative," she explained. "But I'm also involved in the business side and the strategy. It's challenging!"
She works alongside a lot of mothers in her company, admitting "Mothers take care of business!" And while she knows how important her work is, she will always put her children, 10-year-old Moses and 11-year-old Apple, first on her priority list.
"If I make my kids something delicious and we sit down to eat it, and I put my phone away and I really listen, that is such money in the bank," she smiled.
