Halle Berry welcomed her 50th birthday on Sunday (14Aug16) "with open arms".
The Oscar-winning actress marked the occasion by sharing a sexy selfie with fans on Instagram, writing in the caption: "With open arms I welcome 50. I'm so blessed to be here!"
The picture showed mother-of-two Halle appearing to go naked beneath a white lace beach wrap, showing the outline of her toned figure in the process.
The shot has garnered 47,400 likes since Monster's Ball star Halle posted it, with fans rushing to wish the actress a happy birthday.
While many women can find reaching the milestone age of 50 a daunting experience, Halle opened up about the ageing process in an interview with Yahoo Beauty last year (15), insisting she is all about ageing without the help of plastic surgery.
"I just have kept reminding myself that beauty really is as beauty does, and it is not so much about my physical self," she said. "Ageing is natural, and that’s going to happen to all of us. I think of those women that I thought aged so beautifully, like Lena Horne. Even how Jane Fonda is ageing - I don’t know what she has or hasn’t done, but she looks beautiful as she’s going about her way.
"I just want to always look like myself, even if that’s an older version of myself. I think when you do too much of that cosmetic stuff, you become somebody else in a way."
Halle only joined Instagram in March (16), but has since delighted her followers with a series of sexy snaps.
Her debut shot on the social media site was taken from behind and showed the beauty going topless, with Halle greeting fans by captioning it: "Hi everyone. Welcome! Today is a very exciting day for me... I'm looking forward to sharing our world through images that reflect my emotions and perceptions.
"I am in awe of photography and its ability to capture and reflect this extraordinary world that we live in. I'm excited to share with you my love of nature, the arts, fashion and much more in the hopes that the images will inspire, promote conversation and bring you joy."
