Harold Bishop returns to Neighbours

Ian Smith is returning to his role of Harold Bishop in Neighbours

Harold Bishop is to return to Ramsay Street in 2011, a Neighbours cast member has revealed.

Ryan Moloney, who plays Toadie Rebecchi in the soap, confirmed that Ian Smith will reprise the role of the legendary character for "a little bit".

He told TV Week: "I know that Harold is coming back for a little bit, I can't wait. I love Ian and it's good to work with an old friend."

Harold first appeared in Erinsborough in 1987, but was washed away in the surf in 1991, presumed drowned.

However, he made a spectacular comeback five years later, having lost his memory.

He was last seen in 2009 after a prostate cancer storyline.
