Harry’s girl values Duchess support

Cressida Bonas is said to be receiving support from Britain's Duchess of Cambridge.

The blonde dancer has been dating Prince Harry for over a year now and rumours suggest things are getting serious.

Cressida has been open about her love of performing, having studied dance at university and attending London's Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, but some think she isn't suited to the royal family.

The duchess, known as Kate Middleton prior to her nuptials to Prince William, is said to be reassuring Cressida. She too entered the family from outside and has been offering her support while Harry sets off for a trek in the South Pole.

"Cressida is so happy to have Kate on her side, especially now Harry's almost uncontactable. Kate has made PR mistakes in the past, too. I think she regrets not finding a job to settle down before getting engaged to William - the 'Waity Katie' tag still haunts her today," an insider told British magazine Look.

"So Kate can talk to Cressy about that and also point out the attention she'd get if she carried on with the dancing. Every time she put on a leotard to perform, the pictures would be splashed all over the world - and not for the right reasons... Kate's been able to help so much from her position as Duchess."

Certain senior officials at Buckingham Palace are thought to be concerned about newcomers joining the family. They are said to be eager to observe tradition.

"There is a fear that everything is changing so fast. Many of the more traditional officials at the palace don't like the modernisation of the royals, and with Kate and Cressida becoming more influential, there's obviously a worry that even more changes are afoot," another insider added.
