Hart: Sony hack doesn’t affect me
Kevin Hart has shared his thoughts on being embroiled in the Sony email hacking scandal.
A hacker illegally released private emails written by Sony Pictures executives late last year and in one exchange between Clint Culpepper and Amy Pascal, Clint referred to Kevin as a “w***e”.
But the 35-year-old comedian isn’t insulted by the exchange.
"I didn't feel nothing," Kevin told Access Hollywood. "I don't think about that stuff… that has no effect on me.
"I don't worry myself with the business. I'm an entertainer, I am a comedian, I get paid to make people laugh and things outside of that is nothing that I am worrying about. At the end of the day, I am about putting smiles on people’s faces – all races, all shapes and sizes, multicultural entertainment.”
Kevin is currently promoting his new comedy, The Wedding Ringer.
The film, which also stars Josh Gad and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, centres on a nerdy groom who solicits the help of a best-man-for-hire.
Kevin is putting all of his focus on The Wedding Ringer in the wake of the Sony hacking controversy and he hopes audiences will enjoy the picture as much as he does.
"I made a great movie, I want people to go see it. Wedding Ringer is funny," he noted. "Why is it funny? 'Cause Josh and myself are in it and we did a great job. That is all I am worried about! Anything outside of that I have no control over, I have no care in the world for it."
The Wedding Ringer reaches US theatres January 16.
