Hasselhoff’s daughter charged with DUI
David Haselhoff’s daughter, Hayley, has been charged with driving under the influence following her December arrest in Los Angeles.
Aspiring actress Hayley Hasselhoff was arrested in Los Angeles shortly after Christmas, RadarOnline reports.
Prosecutors are said to have filed charges against her on January 3.
Hayley faces up to six months in jail if convicted.
Legal drinking age in America is 21 and Hayley will not hit the milestone until August 28.
A source told the website she plans to fight the charges.
News of her legal troubles comes three years after Hayley’s mother, Pamela Bach’s, last DUI arrest. She was taken into custody in 2009 and again in 2010 on drink driving charges and sentenced to spend 90 days in jail after the second incident.
David, 60, has had his own history with alcohol abuse.
The actor was recorded in 2007 in the middle of a drunken rant while eating a hamburger in a Las Vegas hotel room by his eldest daughter, Taylor Ann, who pleaded with him to stop drinking.
He was hospitalised over America’s Thanksgiving holiday in 2009 after reportedly suffering a seizure at home. The actor is believed to have been drinking and it was Hayley who summoned emergency services to help him.
David, Hayley and 22-year-old Taylor Ann were the subject of a recent reality show for America’s A&E network.
The series was meant to follow the trio in their personal and professional lives but was cancelled after only two episodes.
“The show was cancelled because the ratings were low. It didn’t perform and the decision was made to pull it off the air,” a source previously told Radar.
Neither Hayley nor David have commented on the charges.
