Haylie Duff: The wedding’s on hold
Haylie Duff has admitted her marriage to fiancé Matt Rosenberg will need to wait until after she gives birth.
The 29-year-old sister of singer Hilary announced last week that she and fiancé Matt Rosenberg are expecting their first child together – a baby girl. And the news has meant they won’t be going ahead with their nuptials as soon as they thought.
“We still talk about things we want to do, but it’s a big change with the baby coming,” she told People magazine. “We’re just trying to focus on one thing first and then we’ll do it.”
With that said, Matt added he’s excited their daughter will get to watch them say “I do”. But in the meantime, Haylie is focusing on preparing for the birth and satisfying pregnancy cravings.
“I drink a lot of green smoothies,” the star revealed. “I think I’ve craved health food, which is weird, and then the occasional mac and cheese.”
Haylie is trying to avoid adding any extra pounds by maintaining an active workout schedule. She says her exercise makes Matt “a little nervous”, but she feels great about keeping fit.
“He’s like, ‘Don’t push yourself too hard.’ I’m like, ‘I got it! I’m fine.’ I’m just trying to move. Go on walks. I’m not trying to put too much pressure on myself either way,” she explained. “I feel better when I’m active. I try to do something every day, even if it’s just a little walk or whatever, but there’s some days I don’t do anything!”
Meanwhile, the father-to-be is preparing himself for his impending new role. He’s even getting his body clock ready for baby-friendly hours.
“He’s in dad mode already,” Haylie gushed. “He’s up at six in the morning doing chores around the house. I’m like, ‘Who is this person?’”
The beauty is in her second trimester. Their baby girl will be a cousin to Hilary’s two-year-old son Luca, who she has with estranged husband Mike Comrie.
