Heidi: Skating isn't like exercise

Heidi Range has said she loves skating because it has helped her tone up without the hard slog of going to the gym.

The Sugababe was the eighth celebrity contestant to be booted off ITV talent show Dancing On Ice but is still in training for the live tour and revealed she is "definitely" going to keep skating.

Heidi said: "Things just start to tone up more and it's great because you don't feel like you're exercising so it doesn't feel like you've been in the gym."

The 28-year-old singer is now backing fellow Scouser Jennifer Ellison to win the show.

She said: "I think whoever wins the show I'll be really pleased for because we're all good friends, but me and Jen are really good friends so I'd love to see her win it."

Heidi revealed she and fellow Sugababes Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewan currently had no plans to work together as a band again and were pursuing solo projects.

She said: "We've not got any plans at the moment, we're just doing our own things and we'll just see what happens in the future."

But she wishes good luck to former bandmates Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan, who are reforming as the original Sugababes with Siobhan Donaghy, who Heidi replaced, to record and perform together again.

Heidi said: "I think good luck to them. I hope it works out."
