Heigl distracted on film set

Katherine Heigl has admitted she was often distracted on the set of her new film, Life As We Know It.
The reason for the former Grey's Anatomy star's lack of focus is her new-found motherhood, having welcomed adopted baby daughter Nancy Leigh - nicknamed Naleigh - from Korea, weeks before filming began on the romantic comedy.
"I couldn't show up on set with the same focus as I had on other projects because I was really distracted - what you see in my performance was pretty much who I was at that time and all I am," she said.
"I gave it all I got but there wasn't a lot of craft involved at that point. It was just instinct. It was a fascinating science experiment."
Katherine has no qualms about being pigeon-holed, despite her previous roles.
"I'm such a romantic comedy fan. I love them and go to see them in the cinemas. This one is really funny and, at the same time, has so much soul to it," she explained.
"I love the movie and related to it because I was getting ready to become a mum and start a family - but I didn't expect to be doing both at the same time, so it was interesting and overwhelming for sure."
