Helen Mirren eyes up dressing gowns

Dame Helen Mirren says she'd like to design dressing gowns

Dame Helen Mirren has revealed that she would like to try her hand at fashion and bring out her own line of dressing gowns.

The Sun said that the Oscar-winning actress, 68, complained that there were too few nice-looking gowns to lounge around in.

She said that she spends a lot of time in a dressing gown while getting ready to perform on stage at the theatre.

Dame Helen said of her possible second career: "I should have a dressing gown line. There are not enough nice dressing gowns in the world.

"I make them myself, especially for the theatre, because you live in your dressing gown in the theatre," The Sun quoted her as saying.

Opening up to the possibility of extending into fashion for A-listers, The Queen star added: "And I am going to make a red carpet dress out of bin bags. It will be beautiful."
