Helen Skelton recalls dramatic labour as she poses with newborn Louis

Helen Skelton gave birth in her kitchen surrounded by "flapping" fire fighters.
The 33-year-old presenter and husband Richie Myler welcomed son Louis on 9 April (17), and Helen opened up about her son's dramatic arrival in an interview and photoshoot with Hello! magazine.
Helen was in Perpignan, France, where she and Richie currently live, when she realised she was in labour. Picking up the phone, she called Richie who was in England and instructed him to get the next flight home.
As Helen was in labour for two days when she gave birth to her first child Ernie, who will turn two next month, she expected a similar situation the second time around.
However, just an hour later, Helen was laying flat on the kitchen floor trying to prepare herself for an unexpected home birth.
“It was all a bit frantic. We are just so relieved he is safely here," she smiled to the magazine. "I’m still not really sure why the fire brigade arrived but it seems they were the closest emergency service at the time!
“The firefighters were lovely and beside themselves with excitement as they said they hadn’t been at a birth before, but bless them they weren’t up to speed with what you do so they were all flapping.”
Unsurprisingly considering the speed of the labour and birth, Richie didn't get back in time to witness Louis' big arrival. But he told the magazine how proud he is of his former Blue Peter presenter wife, who is now considering how much her life is going to change as a mother of two young boys.
"People talk about the early baby bubble, but it really is like that, we feel like we are on happy pills," she gushed. "Two is a game changer though. I think it's going to be chaos!"
