Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie reportedly set tongues wagging with their openly flirtatious behaviour recently.

The pair are currently estranged, having announced their separation in January 2014. Hilary, 27, filed for divorce in February this year but an eyewitness said a recent meet up between the pair suggested they are getting on famously.

"Hilary and Mike were very affectionate, openly kissing and touching. Their son wasn't with them. It seemed like more of a date," an insider told American OK! magazine.

They have son Luca, three, together, and are currently disputing his custody. The battle kicked off in April, with 34-year-old Mike demanding joint time with his little boy; apparently Hilary had cited she only wanted him to have visitation rights.

Many thought the divorce was starting to turn ugly, but apparently that's not the case.

"It seems to be the opposite. They looked happy and in love - she was giggling while he played with her hair. They seemed very relaxed and comfortable with each other," the insider said.

"[They] didn't care who was watching."

The pair were reportedly enjoying breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel when the flirting took place.

Hilary has admitted turning to dating app Tinder since she split with retired hockey player Mike. However, she put her phone down for good after being rejected one too many times.

"I'm not still using it. It was really fun for me for a minute; I wanted to experience something totally normal and also shock people.

"No one thought I was really on it - and I was really on it!" she told People.
