Holly Madison ‘planning wedding as distraction’
Holly Madison is reportedly using her wedding planning as a welcome distraction from fiancé Pasquale Rotella’s court case.
The former Playboy playmate, 33, is due to marry Pasquale Rotella August 14.
However the father of her four-month-old daughter Rainbow Aurora is facing charges of bribery, embezzlement, conspiracy and conflict of interest.
“She’s in denial over the whole thing,” source told Radar Online.
Pasquale allegedly paid off Los Angeles city officials with $2.5 million from the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, where his business, Insomniac Events, hosted parties.
While he is free from jail on $1.8 million bail, he could serve 13 years and eight months in prison.
He appeared in court on Monday for a pretrial hearing and is scheduled to return September 19.
However his wife-to-be has apparently been taking her mind off things by enjoying nights out.
“Holly is practically living in the club,” the source continued. “She’s acting normal and happy and like everything’s great, but it’s obvious there’s something wrong. She can’t hide that something’s off.”
Prior to the latest court case, Pasquale and his family enjoyed a good time in London, Paris, Ibiza and Fomentera while visiting Europe.
While he has been sharing their fun nightlife experiences online, Holly recently posted an inspirational board for a “Sleeping Beauty Wedding” on her website.
“She seems determined not to show the stress of Pasquale’s legal problems at all,” the insider added. “It’s like she thinks if she ignores it, it’ll go away.”
