John Travolta has declared he will not be watching a new documentary about the Church of Scientology.

The Pulp Fiction star, one of the church's most high-profile members, was asked whether he had seen the documentary, which addresses accusations of physical abuse and blackmail of members. He replied: "No, I haven't, and I don't really care to."

He said he thought Going Clear was a product of "people who were disgruntled with their experiences" saying his time with the church "has been nothing but brilliant for me".

"I've been brought through storms that were insurmountable, and it's been so beautiful for me, that I can't even imagine attacking it."
