Katie Holmes has held a surprise party to celebrate husband Tom Cruise's 49th birthday.
The Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark star organised an intimate gathering in Miami for 40 people with an Italian meal, Cuban music and a huge chocolate cake for Tom, the New York Post reports.
Katie apparently reserved a number of rooms at the glamorous Soho Beach House for the weekend's festivities.
Sources told the newspaper Tom's close friends, including Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and Rock Of Ages director Adam Shankman, weren't able to come to the party.
Katie and daughter Suri, five, have regularly been flying to Miami to visit Tom while he films Rock Of Ages.
The star is sporting long hair and tattoos for his role as 80s rocker Stacee Jaxx in the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical.
