Harry Styles is reportedly so crippled by homesickness he is terrified of being alone.

The One Direction singer has been touring with his band in Australia recently. Although he enjoys getting to see the world, Harry apparently struggles with his emotions when he is away from his family.

"He suffers from terrible homesickness and exhaustion towards the end of the tour. He often wakes his personal trainer Mark in the middle of the night because he's so lonely that he'd prefer them to work out together then be on his own," an insider told British magazine Heat.

The curly-haired lothario has even been spotted enjoying dinner dates with fans recently, again said to be because he hates being on his own.

Another issue is that although Harry gets along well with his band mates Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, he needs time out from them too. They have remained tight-knit, but Harry likes to relax with people who are nothing to do with work whenever he can.

"He wants people to chill with away from the band," the source said.

It's thought Harry could also be on the lookout for a girlfriend, following comments he made earlier this week. While he has been romantically linked to Cara Delevingne this year, it's another model that has caught his eye.

"Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, probably [is the most beautiful woman in the world]. It's her face," he said.
