Hopkins brands GBBO Ruby a crybaby

The Great British Bake Off finalist Ruby Tandoh (far left) has been branded a crybaby

Former Apprentice contestant Katie Hopkins has launched a vicious attack at The Great British Bake Off finalist Ruby Tandoh.

The reality TV star, who also competed in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, branded 21-year-old former model Ruby a "crybaby" who got to the final by "playing the pretty girl card".

Katie wrote in The Sun: "I was sick of her fawning over Paul Hollywood at every turn.

"Ruby saw Paul as her ticket to the final and jumped on board the Hollywood train to fame. Toot! Toot!"

Katie was responding to Ruby's comments in The Guardian, in which she complained The Great British Bake Off had attracted "lazy misogyny".

The Great British Bake Off final drew 9.1 million viewers at its peak, more than Saturday's X Factor and a record for BBC Two.

Your career has been undergoing some dramatic changes. At long last, you'll have a chance to slow down and catch your breath. Getting used to a new set of responsibilities will take time and patience. Try not to be hard on yourself when you struggle with unfamiliar concepts. Nobody expects perfection, especially at this stage of the game. The more gentle you are with yourself, the easier it will be to master this role. If you're out of work, take this opportunity to rest and reflect on future possibilities.More
