Vanessa Hudgens has revealed she is looking for another change of direction for her next film role, as she gets bored doing the same thing.
The High School Musical star played Alex Pettyfer's love interest in Beauty and the Beast adaptation Beastly and trained with US navy Seals for action fantasy Sucker Punch, but now she is looking for a new adventure.
Vanessa said: "I'm not content doing the same thing. I think all actors... no one's content doing the same thing.
"You're always broadening your horizons and exploring your limits. That's what's so much fun... I don't want to do the same thing twice. I want to continue to grow because I'm just beginning.
"I feel very fortunate and very, very lucky and blessed. I'm very happy with where I'm at. But of course there is so much more that I want to tackle.
"That unrest is what will always keep us going... there's no content; you're always striving to do better. That's what makes us creative people."
But the 22-year-old actress, who split from boyfriend Zac Efron last year, hasn't ruled out a return to musicals in the future.
Vanessa said: "I mean no more High School Musicals but musicals probably in the future somewhere down the line [because] musicals are my home and I love them more than anything.
"I did Rent, the play, this past summer, which was incredible. The stage is such a phenomenal experience, you're so present and lively. I love it."
