Hugh Jackman returns to US stage
Hugh Jackman is to sing and dance in a new stage show in San Francisco.
With production halted on The Wolverine since the departure of director Darren Aronofsky, the award-winning Australian actor will perform his Broadway and Hollywood favourite musical numbers backed by a 17-piece orchestra for a fortnight's run at The Curran Theatre, reported The Wrap.
Titled Hugh Jackman In Performance, the show runs from May 3 to 15, and the Oscar host is expected to include numbers from his Tony award-winning star turn in The Boy From Oz.
While Hugh is best known for his portrayal of clawed superhero Wolverine, he has also starred in Baz Luhrmann's Australia with Nicole Kidman, Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain alongside Rachel Weisz and Christopher Nolan's The Prestige with Christian Bale.
His next big-screen outing will be in sci-fi adventure Real Steel.
