Hulk Hogan offered big money for Celebrity Big Brother - report

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Channel 5 bosses have dug deep in a bid to lure the controversial former wrestler with their biggest pay packet to date.

Hulk Hogan has reportedly been offered a big money deal to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house this summer (17).

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Channel 5 bosses have dug deep in a bid to lure the controversial former wrestler with their biggest pay packet to date. And considering Kim Kardashian's ex Ray J is said to have been paid a staggering $1 million (£772,533) for the series earlier this year, it is thought Hulk would earn a hefty six figure salary if he agreed to enter the famous house.

"Hulk would be a big name for the series," a source told the newspaper. "He is known for being opinionated."

Hulk is also no stranger to reality television, having starred in series Hogan Knows Best. The show featured Hulk's now ex-wife Linda and children Brooke and Nick, but the 63-year-old later said the show had contributed to his marriage breakdown.

After initially finding fame in Rocky III alongside Sylvester Stallone in 1983, Hulk went on to have a successful wrestling career, with his most iconic moment coming when he body slammed Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III in 1987.

But things hit a downward spiral when a sex tape was released which showed Hulk with his friend Bubba 'The Love Sponge' Clem's wife Heather Clem. Bubba and Heather split after the intimate footage was made public, while Hulk lost his contract with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) due to using a racist slur while in bed with Heather.

He was later awarded £108 million ($139 million) in damages for invasion of privacy.

"They think he may go for it this year after previously turning them down because of the battering his reputation took," the source added.

However, a Celebrity Big Brother spokesperson refused to comment on the claims, saying only: "We do not comment on rumoured housemates."
