Jack Black has joked he has "retired from acting".
In an interview broadcast by a British radio station today, the Hollywood star claimed to be focusing on his musical career with rock band Tenacious D for now.
Jack bantered that he was born to be a musician and would rather embark on a career as a candle maker than return to acting.
"We're just a rock band. We do what we do. It's in our DNA. What? Is there anything else? If we weren't doing this, what would we be doing? I'd be teaching candle making. I have a passion for the arts of candle making. I've retired from acting," he told BBC Radio 1.
Jack also spoke about Tenacious D's touring lifestyle.
The lead singer insisted that they don't indulge in wild rock star clichés because they want to perform well.
He added that distractions from well wishers aren't welcome before a gig.
"When we're on tour we are pretty focused because we like to be the best," Jack said before joking, "I don't like to see people I don't know when I'm about to go on. Like, when people come in right before and go 'I just wanted to say hi'. Get out of here man! Can't you see we're trying to focus?"
