I'm A Celebrity's "jailed" contestants are being given a lifeline with a chance of immunity from eviction - if they can triumph in a challenge involving jungle nasties.

Stacey Solomon, Dom Joly, Sheryl Gascoigne, Lembit Opik, Gillian McKeith and Shaun Ryder have all been locked up in the jungle prison jail and were told they faced the public vote for the first eviction on Thursday.

However they now have a chance of avoiding the vote with a two-part task involving a search for keys. Whichever celebrity manages to open a series of locks first will be excused the vote, the results of which will be revealed in Thursday's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! on ITV1 from 8pm.

Gillian and Dom have already shown they have had difficulties coping with jungle bugs. And Gillian has already been excused one task featuring critters when she fainted live on TV although her fellow campers have suspected she was faking it.

Thursday night's show will also see Stacey taking part in a bushtucker trial with fellow contestant Aggro Santos suspended on an 18-metre high walkway in a bid to win meals for the camp.
