James Gandolfini's ex denies he wanted divorce
James Gandolfini's ex-fiancée says she was not planning to reconcile with the actor.
The actor passed away June 19 at the age of 51 after suffering a fatal heart attack while on vacation in Italy with his family.
He left behind his wife of four years, Deborah.
The couple married four years after his split from Lora Somoza, who was engaged to the star from 2003 to 2005.
Reports surfaced recently James was planning to leave his wife shortly before his death to reconcile with Lora, who had to break it off to care for her ailing grandmother.
The 44-year-old sex therapist admits she remained friends with James through the years.
She denies anything romantic was going on.
"I got to congratulate him on his new baby girl and he sounded really good," Lora told Inside Edition.
"I'm glad to have the most recent memory of mine with him on something that sounded really positive."
Despite the sensational reports Lora said the was thrilled for James and his family.
He also had a son, Michael, from a previous marriage, and welcomed a daughter with Deborah just eight months ago.
"I was happy that he felt like he had found a woman in his life that made him happy and that he was in a good place," Lora continued.
"We were friends and we were going to stay friends. He was happily married and I am happily with somebody," she said.
