James Jordan rules out Peter Andre Strictly win
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer James Jordan would love to see Jeremy Vine win the show this year, because his routines are so entertaining.
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer James Jordan believes Peter Andre has ruined his chances of winning by pulling out of the tour.
The outspoken dancer hasn’t been afraid to voice his opinions on the latest crop of contestants on the BBC TV show, and has now written off Peter’s hopes of lifting the famous glitterball trophy. Last week, reports surfaced that Peter was left in tears amid fears he had ruined his chances of success after failing to commit to next year’s tour, and James has now confirmed those concerns.
“I can tell you now,” James told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “I’ve never seen a champ not do the tour.”
Peter impressed the judging panel on Saturday (07Nov15) with an energetic Charleston, and James believes he deserved to top the leader board. Although Peter has been among the highest scorers this series, James doesn’t think he’s done enough to secure a place in the final yet. There is one male competitor who is bound to be in the running when it comes to claiming the title though, according to James.
“The only person I can see being in the final is Jay (McGuiness) and I think he’ll win,” he promised.
While celebrities such as Jay, Peter, Helen George and Georgia May Foote have thrilled judges with their footwork this year, other stars have failed to score as highly.
Scottish weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was the latest name to leave the show on Sunday (08Nov15) after her American Smooth routine fell flat, and radio host Jeremy Vine has been also languishing near the bottom of the leader board for the past few weeks.
However, Jeremy has attracted a great deal of public support and James thinks it may be time for a people’s champion to enjoy success.
“I would quite like to see him go on and win,” James said of Jeremy. “It’s an entertainment show as well as a dancing show and he entertains me.
“Sometimes brilliant dancing can actually be boring and it would show non-dancers they have a chance on Strictly.”
