James Michael: Frankie has my vote

James Michael says appearing on The X Factor was an amazing experience

Frankie Cocozza is going to "power it through to the end" of this year's X Factor, axed contestant James Michael has predicted.

The cheeky ladies' man was forced to sing for survival after ending up in the bottom two on last week's show, but James Michael reckons his pal will soon be back on top form.

"I wasn't expecting him to be in the sing-off because I thought everyone loved his swagger, everyone loved Frankie," the former hopeful revealed.

"I think Frankie's going to power it through to the end. I want him to win and slam it for the boys."

James - who was partying at the Captain Morgan's Spiced party in London on Wednesday night - also insisted he had no ill will towards judge Gary Barlow for picking him to be the first boy to leave the live shows.

"He's sound Gary. It's his opinion. Some people will love my singing and some people won't like it," he said.

"He just said, 'James you're going to be all right, it's a TV show' and that's it."

The 20-year-old added: "It has been amazing. It's a proper platform now for my music. I've been gigging loads, my life has just changed amazingly so I'm going to enjoy it for as long as I can."
