It's the most hotly anticipated movie trailer of the year. And now fans of worldwide phenomenon Fifty Shades Of Grey have been given their first glimpse of Jamie Dornan as the kinky billionaire who seduces a naïve young reporter.
Earlier this week pop star Beyoncé unveiled a teaser of the steamy big screen version of EL James trilogy. But the faces of Co Down's Dornan and his co-star Dakota Johnson were not shown.
The two-minute trailer released yesterday, however, provides a much more detailed insight into the sadomasochistic world of Dornan's character Christian Grey and the adventure he embarks on with Johnson's Anastasia Steele.
Accompanied by a breathy re-record of Beyoncé's hit single Crazy In Love, the racy trailer shows Dornan in various stages of undress as he seduces the shy Ms Steele.
It begins with the words "Mr Grey will see you now" as the reporter walks into the office of the handsome billionaire to conduct a newspaper interview. When a friend later asks: "What was he like?", Johnson's character replies: "He was polite, intense, smart and really intimidating."
The trailer then shows the pair in a passionate clinch in a lift, before moving on to the bedroom, and finally Grey's notorious 'Red Room of Pain'.
It also gives viewers a glimpse of Grey's mega-rich lifestyle, featuring helicopters and a luxury apartment.
The former model, star of Belfast-based thriller The Fall, adopts an American accent as he steps into the shoes of the controlling Grey.
Both he and Johnson appeared on US chat show Today ahead of the trailer's release.
Dornan told viewers: "That's a big part of it... having trust. Because, you know, we got ourselves into situations that don't feel that sort of natural and they're not that easy and you need to have the trust there."
His 24-year-old co-star said: "It's not, like, a romantic situation. It's more, like, technical and choreographed and less... it's more of a task.'
The pair's chemistry sizzles on screen, which will be good news for fans of the trilogy who have been eagerly awaiting the movie's release on Valentine's Day 2015.
British director Sam Taylor-Wood has directed the film, while Armagh man Seamus McGarvey is on board as director of cinematography.
Dornan joined the cast as Grey after original choice Charlie Hunnam dropped out due to work commitments. It's predicted the movie will make a huge international star of the Holywood man, who has since been cast in another film alongside Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller.
Just last week Dornan was voted into the top 10 hunks in the world by Heat magazine. He made it into eighth place on the list, joining the likes of Zac Efron, David Beckham and Leonardo DiCaprio.
