Jamie Foxx: I never lose my ‘pimp game’
Jamie Foxx is proud he still managed to flirt with Halle Berry while overcome with emotion after winning an Oscar in 2005.
The actor was victorious at the 2005 Academy Awards for his role in Ray, which looked at the life and career of musician Ray Charles.
The star attended yesterday's ceremony in Los Angeles, which caused him to reminisce about the time he got to take home the golden statue.
"That moment was amazing. My grandmother had passed away just a year before, who had put so much work in to making sure I did the right thing, so that night I was overwhelmed," he told TV talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. "If you notice though - how do you say? - my pimp game was still intact because I did acknowledge Halle Berry. You notice that? Amongst all the emotions I'm like, 'Halle, look out girl!'"
Jamie was appearing on Jimmy's show alongside Channing Tatum, his co-star in upcoming release White House Down.
Jimmy quizzed the pair on why they hadn't been nominated for an Oscar this year, pointing out he had thoroughly enjoyed Channing's appearance in male-stripper movie Magic Mike.
Jamie giggled as he spoke of how surprising it was neither of them got a nod.
"It's a crazy world. It's nuts. It's nuts but really small nuts," he laughed.
The star - who appeared in Quentin Tarantino's release Django Unchained, which won two Academy Awards last night - loved getting to go to the Oscars again this year. The most enjoyable part was being among other people in the industry.
"It's so much fun. What's amazing is to be in the audience and see all your favourite actors up close," he gushed.
