Jamie Foxx is reviving American TV talent show Showtime At The Apollo.
The actor and singer made the announcement when he appeared on stage at charity fundraiser Apollo in the Hamptons, The New York Post reports.
Jamie said: "The Apollo did it long before American Idol, except the audience were the judges."
The Hollywood star will executive-produce the show for BET.
Showtime At The Apollo ran on TV for 21 years until 2008. Performers, ranging from professional to amateur, would demonstrate their talent, sometimes getting booed off stage by the audience.
Horrible Bosses star Jamie himself was booed off the show as a young comedian.
