Jared Leto has praised his feuding friends Kanye West and Taylor Swift during a new interview.

Jared Leto is one celebrity not getting involved in the Kanye West and Taylor Swift feud.

On Tuesday (02Aug16) Justin Bieber threw himself into the firing line by firmly siding with Kanye, in the dispute about lyrics in the rapper’s latest song Famous. On the record, Kanye says that he made Taylor a star, and also calls the Shake It Off Singer a “b**ch”, something Taylor denies she gave him permission to do.

Making his side known, Justin uploaded a screenshot of a FaceTime call he had with Kanye to Instagram captioned, “Taylor swift what up”.

Suicide Squad star Jared is friends with both A-listers, and has proved his loyalty by praising Kanye and Taylor in a chat with America’s GQ magazine.

“(Kanye) he’s a friend and has always been,” he shared. “Kanye has always been the nicest person to me, kind and generous. I think he’s a talent, and I really appreciate his ability to speak his mind. I’m very different. I’m very careful and cautious because I don’t want to deal with the other things that come along with speaking out like that. But I do appreciate that in other people.”

When it came to describing his friendship with Taylor, he was equally as complimentary. In late 2015 Jared faced a backlash from Taylor’s fans when he was recorded saying he didn’t “give a f**k about her” while listening to some of her tracks. He quickly backtracked, taking to Twitter to apologise and tell the world how amazing he thinks she is. The 44-year-old echoed the sentiments to GQ.

“She’s great. She triggers a conversation with myself about what’s possible,” he gushed. “And you know, the thing I like about Taylor is she’s a self-made woman. I see that in my mother. There were probably points in Taylor’s career where someone else maybe would have been knocked off balance by criticism or other challenges, and she just kept marching forward.”
