Jason Bateman's wife Amanda Anka has given birth to the pair's second child.
Amanda delivered the couple's daughter Maple Sylvie Bateman on Friday February 10 in Los Angeles, Jason's representatives have confirmed to People magazine.
The actor, who led a wild lifestyle throughout the 90s and struggled with drug use, has spoken previously about how his relationship with his wife has benefitted his life.
"Meeting my wife Amanda was the best thing that could have happened to me. She wasn't going to let me screw around with my life anymore, so I stopped drinking and started behaving like a decent human being," he told the UK edition of OK! magazine last fall.
Jason and Amanda married in July 2001.
Amanda is a voice-over artist and can be heard on several commercials shown on television.
The Horrible Bosses actor and Amanda already have five-year-old daughter Francesca Nora together.
Amanda is recuperating at their family home in Los Angeles.
Jason will next be seen alongside Olivia Wilde in upcoming romantic comedy The Longest Week.
