Jason Biggs reunites with lost dog
Jason Biggs has thanked his Twitter followers for helping him find his dog Gina, who went missing on Halloween.
The actor issued a frantic Twitter plea for help on Friday night, asking his friends and followers to help find his pet canine Gina after she disappeared wearing a costume but no collar. The social media platform came to the rescue, helping he and his wife Jenny Mollen find her within hours.
“WE FOUND HER!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU,” the 36-year-old American Pie star tweeted the next morning.
Gina had gone missing on Friday evening after she managed to make her way out of the couple’s Beverly Hills property and onto the street. They immediately put the word out via Twitter, encouraging fellow celebrities such as comedian Dane Cook to retweet them for further exposure.
“Guys- please please pleas help and RT- our dog Gina got out- Benedict Canyon in BH. Please big reward- please RT thx (sic),” Jason wrote. “She is microchipped, but did not have a collar on. Only her Halloween costume.”
The search ensued, with the actor continuing to beg his followers to let him know if they had information. It soon came to light that a woman in a van was spotted picking up the small dog, believing she was lost. This woman was apparently alerted to the fact that Gina belonged to Jason and Jenny thanks to the way it spread like wildfire on social media.
“Could NOT have done it without you guys. An amazing woman picked her up in the street, and you guys ended up forwarding the message 2 her,” Jason later wrote.
He had initially offered a reward for Gina’s safe return. He later joked that given the sheer number of people who helped get the word out, they were all owed “about a cent” each.
