JenAn 'throws Courteney bachelorette bash'
Jennifer Aniston reportedly threw a shamrock-themed bachelorette party for Courteney Cox, with her husband-to-be Johnny making an appearance.
The best pals became close when they both starred on hit TV show Friends, and in an example of life imitating art, Jennifer's character Rachel also threw Courteney's Monica a bridal bash.
However unlike the fictional gathering, which didn't quite go to plan, 45-year-old Jennifer's party planning is said to have been spot on. And taking inspiration from Courteney's fiancé Johnny McDaid's Irish roots, the party was a rousing success.
"Jen went all out and had decorated the dining table with green and white bouquets, hand-made mint chocolate truffles and green velvet cupcakes, green and white napkins with shamrock place settings and Celtic charm champagne glasses," an insider told British newspaper The Sun.
“Johnny even made an appearance at the end of the meal.”
The party took place at Beverly Hill's Il Pastaio restaurant and the guest list included Snow Patrol rocker Johnny's mom Pauline.
Courteney, 50, began dating Johnny in late 2013 after being introduced by mutual pal Ed Sheeran, and announced their engagement via Twitter on June 27.
It's been rumoured that Johnny's channelling his musical talents into three special songs which he'll perform on the big day.
"[He's written three new tracks], two love songs for Courteney and one that will honour his late father," an insider told the American edition of OK! magazine.
And the romance doesn't stop there, as the 38-year-old Irish musician also asked Courteney's daughter Coco, whose father is the actress' ex-husband David Arquette, if he could have her mom's hand in marriage.
"Johnny first asked Coco. He said, 'I'd like to marry your mom,' and gave her a little diamond ring. She said, 'Great, I'm going to camp tomorrow. Let's do it right now,'" Courteney told Jimmy Kimmel.
