Jennie Garth isn't doing anything extravagant to celebrate the holidays this year.
The 40-year-old actress and her estranged husband Peter Facinelli split in March after being married for 11 years. The former couple share young daughters Luca, Fiona and Lola together.
As a newly single mother, Jennie will keep things low-key.
"This year we're going to be celebrating it quietly at home, just the four of us," she told the US edition of OK! magazine.
"Then, we're going to be taking a trip to see some dear friends in Virginia."
Jennie definitely wants to keep her girls entertained over Christmas.
She doesn't want to be a boring parent.
"I'm going to be taking them to a play for Christmas, and trying to up my fun game as a mom," she revealed.
"They do a lot of fun things with their dad, so I'm trying to up my fun game. I'm going to look in L.A. and see what are some fun holiday things we could do. I know that Neil Patrick Harris is doing a play - we might check that out in Pasadena."
Jennie's ex Peter is now dating actress Jaimie Alexander.
He had the kids over Thanksgiving.
