Jennifer Aniston: Burger made stomach turn

Jennifer Aniston couldn't believe how bad a burger made her feel and believes it was because she usually eats organic food.

The actress has glossy hair and clear skin, which she puts down to her healthy lifestyle. She enjoys exercising, drinks a lot of water and ensures her diet is tip top. The effect her regime has on her body was brought home to her when she ate fast food while with her fiancé Justin Theroux.

"I'll never forget when Justin and I were on a road trip and we were so hungry. The only thing around was McDonald's. I think I ordered a Big Mac. Wow, my body did not react well to that!" she told nymag.com "It was like putting gasoline in a purified system. I am always trying to eat organic and natural foods, so that just made my stomach turn and made me feel terrible. And I think what you put in your body, as well as stress, is reflected in the quality of your skin."

The 44-year-old actress is the face of natural, eco-friendly skincare giant Aveeno and is also a co-owner of hair company Living Proof.

She began using Aveeno products after days wearing a lot of make-up in the sun for a movie made her skin react badly. Jennifer now uses the company's scrub daily and believes it has transformed her skin.

The star advises women to find a product that works for them and stick with it.

"When I started making enough money to afford high-end, fancy skincare products with sexy bottles and impressive claims, I decided to give them a try," she recalled. "As a result my skin acted up and got irritated. I think sometimes women may be over cleansing their skin. Some products and masks can be too aggressive and irritating for certain skin types. I believe the more simple, natural, and easy the skin care regime, the better off your skin will be."
